Community Drug/Alcohol Treatment/Needle Exchange
Use our testing kits to enable you to gain an initial picture by covering all the main drug groups of abuse, for example using our eleven drug panel test. Once established, save money by using a more defined method of testing, such as a six drug panel test for example. This will be tailored to treating the person, not the supplier's pocket. We have everything you need to help you comply with the testing guidance given in the NTA "Orange Book" 2007.
Prescriptions
Use our instant or laboratory, urine or oral products to check for compliance with a prescription, or ensure whether a prescription is necessary. An onsite, point of care result, within minutes, can give you the evidence you need to be able to prescribe there and then. We also offer an Alcohol test strip on the same devices as our drug tests, or specific Alcohol testing equipment where needed. This may help you to detect alcohol use should you be authorising treatment medication or treating alcohol related problems.
If required, EDDP can be included at no extra cost on our "instant" tests. EDDP is a metabolite of Methadone that proves it has been through the body. This means simply adding Methadone to a sample will no longer be an option to those wishing to gain a positive result for the wrong reasons.
Community Drug Treatment
- Accurate, reliable and, easy to use and interpret on site kits with laboratory back up when needed.
- Test panels developed for what you need. Start with a wider range then trim down to target certain drugs and save money.
- EDDP strip to ensure compliance with maintenance Methadone prescriptions.
- Oral and Urine drug instant test panels have the same colour scheme, meaning easier interpretation of results and less staff training.
- A combination of different testing methods to suit the individuals needs, along with practical and budgetary constraints.
- Full product training. More than just how to use the kits, we train staff to correctly interpret results and how to use the testing appropriately. We include a question and answer session and are available to contact at all times to help with any further queries. This can help both clients and staff to progress treatment in the best interests of all concerned and the most cost efficient way possible.
- Blood Borne Virus Testing - Point of Care (instant) finger prick tests for Hepatitis C, B and HIV - negating the need for phlebotomy services and the long, and sometimes stressful, wait for results. CE marked and new to the UK. Exclusive to ScreenSafe UK these are the next step forwards in ensuring all entrants to testing are screened for BBV's.
- Alcohol testing - from fully Home Office approved breathalysers with printers to cheaper bottom end single use alcohol detection kits. We will advise on the suitability of the device, to the reason for the testing and taking budget limitations into consideration.
